Beginning Monday October 3, 2016, the City of Bakersfield will begin 24-hour lane closures to reconstruct the roadway on Ashe Road from Ming Avenue to Stockdale Highway.
During the reconstruction of the roadway, traffic will be reduced down to one lane in each direction. In addition, access to side streets will be closed only for the period of time that reconstruction is occurring in these areas.
Detours and alternate access points will be provided during these closure periods. This will result in traffic delays, so drivers are advised to use caution and to take alternate routes or allow extra travel time through this area.
