BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Probation Department Gang Intervention and Suppression Team says a .25 caliber semi-automatic handgun, multiple live rounds of ammunition, and three ounces of suspected methamphetamine were found during a probation search in East Bakersfield Thursday evening.

According to the Kern County Probation Department, the Kern County Probation Department Gang Intervention and Suppression Team conducted a probation search at a residence in the 500 block of Monterey Street in East Bakersfield. The department says officers contacted multiple people inside of the residence, including 50-year-old Rodney Jenkins.

During the probation search, and with the help of the Kern County Probation Department K-9 Unit, the department says officers located a .25 caliber hand-gun, multiple live rounds of ammunition, and approximately three ounces of suspected methamphetamine.
