BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The City of Ridgecrest was shook by a 3.5 magnitude earthquake early Friday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey.
USGS reported it hit just before 4 a.m. about 8.8 miles Northeast of Ridgecrest, with a depth of 8 km. Around 30 minutes later, the USGS reported a 2.5 magnitude earthquake in the same area.
According to USGS, 59 people reported feeling the 3.5M earthquake as of 6 a.m. Friday.

These quakes coming less than a year after the devastating 6.4 and 7.1 magnitude earthquakes rattled the city.
