Search and rescue efforts are underway in Mono County at June Lake tonight after a boat capsized with five people onboard.

Three of the people missing tonight are from Tehachapi.

Friends and family tell 23ABC - five people were fishing on the boat that capsized in rough weather and only two people were able to make it to shore.

Three of the missing men are from Tehachapi and one of the men has been identified by family members as Caleb Johnson.

The identities of the other two people have not yet been released.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's dive team says this is officially a recovery effort as there is no possibility of survival.

As of 4:30 p.m. the Mono County Sheriff's Department stated that they have suspended the search today due to heavy rain and gusty wind. The search will continue tomorrow.

Earlier this evening 23ABC learned from family members that one man was missing from Tehachapi.

A family member confirmed that the two other victims are also from Tehachapi.
