BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The holidays are among us and for the 36th year in a row, the Bakersfield Toy Run his hosting their annual parade and canned food drive.
The event gives the community a chance to bring donations of toys and canned food items to be donated to the Salvation Army.
Entry to the parade is one unwrapped child's toy for children up to the age of 13, and two non-perishable food items worth a combined $20, or $20 in cash.
It's happening Sunday starting at 7 a.m. at Beach Park. The parade starts at 10 a.m. at the fairgrounds. The event runs until 2 p.m.
