The 38th Annual Fun in the Sun Run is happening at the Kern Pioneer Village today. 

The event which will host vintage limited street rods will kick off at 9 a.m. 

The Kern Pioneer Village is located at 3801 Chester Avenue in Bakersfield. 

There will be raffles, a 50/50 raffle, goodie bags for the first 100 cars registered, arts and crafts vendors, and food and drinks available for purchase. 

Registration is $35 on the day of the event and begins at 8 a.m. 

The event opens to the public at 9 a.m. and games begin at 10 a.m.

The award ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. 

Part of the money raised goes to the Kern County Museum Education Program and numerous local charities throughout the year.
