BAKERSFIELD, CA. — The 3rd Annual Mega Adoption Event will be held this Sunday at the Kern County Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Hundreds of animals will be up for adoption this weekend.

"Come with an open heart and open mind and make sure it's a good fit for you and your family," said Nick Cullen, Director of Kern County Animal Services.

Last year, over a hundreds animals were adopted at the event.

"The first to arrive get the best pick of the liter," said Cullen.

But, this year KCAS says they will try to stagger the animals so they best don't go first.
