4 Raiders named to Pro Bowl roster, Derek Carr named alternate

Raiders quarterback and Bakersfield native Derek Carr could head to his second consecutive Pro Bowl, after he was named as an alternate on Tuesday.

The NFL announced its Pro Bowl rosters Tuesday with four Raiders being voted to the all-star game. 

Making the Pro Bowl were defensive end Khalil Mack and offensive linemen Rodney Hudson, Kelechi Osemele and Donald Penn.

Carr was one of six Raiders who were selected as alternates. 

Joining Carr as an alternate are linebacker NaVorro Bowman, offensive lineman Gabe Jackson, punter Marquette King, running back Marshawn Lynch and kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson. 

The Pro Bowl will be played in Orlando on Jan. 28.
