BAKERSFIELD, CA. — The 40th Annual Bakersfield Prayer Breakfast is the second largest prayer breakfast in the country.
The event saw over a thousand community members this morning at Mechanics Bank Convention Center.
This year's keynote speaker was Rocky Fleming, an author and founder of Influencers Ministry.
“In Bakersfield, there is an amazing movement, a spiritual revival, a wonderful movement, its transforming lives," said Fleming. "Dealing with every issue from addiction to deep and emotional wounds."
Fleming's message, which came after the community leader prayer, focused on peace.
“If I can do anything to be a catalyst that they would look at their lives and say 'I can be a peacemaker, I can do that, I can dial down to my response on things and I can change that,'” said Fleming.
