5 from Bakersfield tied to car burglaries in Morro Bay

Five people from Bakersfield are in custody in San Luis Obispo County connected to multiple car burglaries in Morro Bay. 

According to the Morro Bay Police Department, on Thursday, five people, including a 17 year old, were found after allegedly stealing from a car.

Police took the five into custody. The were found in possession of $1,000 of stolen property, including backpacks, sporting goods and a bike. Police say they were connected to car burglaries. 

They have been identified as 25-year-old Elvis Sandoval, 22-year-old Omar Macias, 19-year-old Oswaldo Villegas, 20-year-old Alberto Noriega and the 17-year-old.
