INestlé USA, Inc. will have a temporary layoff of 63 employees at the Nestlé Dreyer’s Ice Cream Bakersfield facility.

The facility, located in the 7300-block of District Boulevard, will have the layoff from November 26, 2017 through January 20, 2018 due to reduction in production volume.

The entire facility will not be closed.

Additional employees will be placed on a temporary layoff in December 2017.

None of the employees being placed on temporary layoff is represented by a labor union.

Below is a listing of the job titles of the positions to be affected and the number of affected employees in each of the job titles:

Operations Ice Cream Maker I:  42 employees
Operations Ice Cream Maker II: 21 employees
