A motorcyclist from Utah has died after a crash in Kern County.
The California Highway Patrol says the crash happened Sunday morning on Sierra Way near Patterson Lane.
Investigators say a 69-year-old man was riding a 2017 Harley Davidson motorcycle when it veered off the roadway and hit a ditch.
The rider was thrown from the vehicle. He was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
CHP says drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
