7-Eleven in South Bakersfield closed by health department due to rodent issues

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Public Health Services Department has closed a 7-Eleven, located on Pacheco Road and H Street in South Bakersfield, due to rodent and food preservation issues.

According to the public health website inspectors found a live mouse underneath a small reach-in freezer and rodent droppings behind another freezer.

The department also noted the nacho cheese and chili dispenser were measure at 117 degrees Fahrenheit.

The 7-Eleven received a failing grade of 60%.
