Eight people are without a home after a garage went up in flames early Tuesday morning.
According to the Kern County Fire Department, a garage caught fire just before 12:30 on East Brundage Lane, just off Sterling Road.
Fire crews contained the fire to the garage and had it controlled after about 10 minutes.
No one was hurt, but the people in the home were displaced.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
