An 8-year-old boy is recovering in the hospital this morning, after being hit while walking in the crosswalk on Stine Road and Ribbon Grass Drive.

It all happened just after 5:00 p.m. Friday.

Police say a white Lexus SUV was traveling southbound on Stine Road, when they struck the 8-year-old in the center of the southbound lanes.

The boy suffered moderate injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was a 64-year-old male who was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Speed was also not a factor.
