80-year-old woman shot and robbed, suspects involved to appear in court

The three people arrested for shooting and robbing an elderly woman are set to appear in court this morning. 

 

80-year-old Florence McKay was robbed and shot in the leg back on July 6th and today three of the suspects allegedly involved in that robbery will appear in court today.

 

Police arrested 24-year-old Rayon Norwood, 27-year-old Robert Norwood Jr. And 25-year-old Asia Davis, on suspicion of attempted murder, robbery, elder abuse, gang participation and weapons violations after they allegedly rushed into McKay’s home when she answered the door.

Once inside they found a safe in her living room and told McKay they would kill her if she didn't open it.

According to police reports, McKay lied on the ground throughout the night as the suspects continued to rummage through her home.

She activated her life alert system the following morning and was taken to the hospital for her injuries including the gunshot wound to her leg.

All three suspects are set to appear in court and facing multiply charges.
