Recently released 9-1-1 calls reveal a closer look at the aftermath of a dangerous Craigslist deal gone bad.
Last month a Bakersfield man was robbed and shot at near River Walk Park while trying to sell his bike.
He posted the ad on Craigslist and the buyer agreed to meet him in the park.
But that's when the bike's owner told police things turned violent.
According to the 9-1-1 call the suspect said two men tried to steal the bike once at the park.
The owner of the bike followed the two men and that’s when he says the suspects opened fire on the victim’s car.
The victim was not injured during the shooting and police identified 22-year-old Christopher Wilkinson as the driver of the vehicle that fired shots. Wilkinson was arrested for attempted murder.
The second suspect in this incident has not been arrested.
If you have any information about this case you are urged to call Bakersfield Police Department.
