KCSO says Verizon Wireless calls to 911 are working again

UPDATE: The issue with Verizon Wireless calls to 911 has been resolved. The 911 system is functioning properly throughout the county now.

The Kern County Sheriff's Office has issued an alert to all Verizon Wireless customers in Kern County that there is a 911 outage. 

KCSO said they were alerted about the outage from Verizon around 8 p.m. 

Calls to 911 will not work for Verizon customers in Kern, Mono and Inyo counties. 

Officials said there is no estimated time of repair.
