939 marijuana plants found growing in Fresno home

Nearly 939 marijuana plants were found inside a home in Fresno.

High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area members served a search warrant on an illegal grow house located near the 4600 block of W. Pine Ave.

The rental home had elaborate lighting and a water and air filtration system, according to Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect, 50-year-old Jesus Rodriguez, was arrested for marijuana cultivation, intent to sell, and stealing electricity.

Each plant in the house was estimated to yield half a pound of marijuana, worth approximately $700,000 in street sales, according to the sheriff's office. A small amount of methamphetamine was also found.

Rodriguez' bail is set at $147,000.
