Honoring fallen officers and supporting families

Kern County 999 'Officer Down' Foundation was created in 2006 to help the families of fallen police officers.

October 6, 2018 marks it's 12th year of the foundation's annual motorcycle ride fundraiser. Riders' kickstands were up at 9 a.m., and after a ride around Bakersfield with a pitstop at Downtown's Law Enforcement Memorial, they will return to the parking lot of The Original Roadhouse Steaks and Barbequeon Rosedale Highway (8490 Rosedale Highway) for a ceremony lunch.

If you didn't get a chance to ride and you still want to support, you can join in honoring police officers who were killed in the line of duty, by attending the ceremony lunch. The lunch is $15, and all the proceeds from the lunch tickets go to the Kern County 999 'Officer Down' Foundation.
