UPDATE (7:52 a.m.): Kern County Fire confirms a body was found in a canal. They are now working to recover the body.

At around 7:15 a.m. a Pacific Gas and Electric employee saw what appeared to be a body in a canal near Kitty Hawk Avenue and Aviation.
Kern County Fire is responding.
