A South Bakersfield property management office was robbed early Friday evening, and the assault of the owner and one of the employees was caught on surveillance.
The owner of the business spoke to 23ABC and asked that his identity and the name of the business remain anonymous for safety reasons.
The owner said around 7 p.m. Friday, a man walked in and after pulling out a gun, shoved a woman who works at the office and held the owner at gunpoint. The suspect later pistol-whipped the owner before leaving.
The owner says the office does not keep much cash on hand because most renters pay online or by check, so the suspect made it out with a few hundred dollars and some jewelry.
The search for the suspect is ongoing.
