UPDATE: All southbound lanes are now open following a semi-truck accident on Highway 99 near the I-5 split.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a semi crashed on the southbound side of Highway 99 near the I-5 split, hitting the center divider. The force of the crash pushed part of the divider into the northbound lanes.
The accident closed both the southbound and northbound lanes at the time. However, the northbound lanes should be open shortly, but southbound lanes are expected to be closed for some time.
There were no injuries and an investigation into the accident continues.
