The California Highway Patrol (CHP) has been awarded a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) grant through the Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) to supplement the Department's driving under the influence (DUI) enforcement efforts, including task force operations and proactive DUI enforcement. 

The primary mission of this operation is to ensure public safety, enforce the law, and protect property by conducting proactive DUI enforcement patrol in specific areas within Central Division boundaries.
