BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A vehicle crashed into the Friant Kern Canal in Wasco Saturday afternoon and is fully submerged, according to the California Highway Patrol.
According to the CHP traffic incident website, the incident occurred shortly before 3 p.m near State Route 46 and Beach Avenue.
It is unclear how the vehicle ended up in the water, but the website shows the driver is "conscious and talking."
The vehicle is upside down in the water and is fully submerged, according to the website.
