Cynthia Arechiga, the woman accused in a scam, is expected to face a judge today.

Arechiga was arrested earlier this month for illegally renting out a home in Southwest Bakersfield.

Bakersfield Police say this isn’t the first time she attempted this sort of scam.

She faces grand theft property charges and her bail is set at $40,000.
