This New Year's Eve driving agencies across the state want to make sure everyong has a safe holiday.

For the 24th year in a row, the Automobile Club of Southern California is offering its FREE Tipsy Tow service during New Year's Eve in 13 counties, including here in Kern.

The service will be available from 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31 through New Year's Day at 6 a.m.

Tipsy Tow will take you home for FREE for the first seven miles.

The service excludes rides for passengers, is restricted to a one-way, one-time ride for the driver and the destination is limited to the driver’s residence or hotel where they are a registered guest.

Reservations are not accepted. For rides farther than seven miles, drivers can expect to pay the rate charged by the tow truck contractor.
