MCFARLAND, Calif. — One person is dead following a two-vehicle accident near McFarland.
According to the Kern County Fire Department, crews responded to an accident involving a car and a truck on Highway 43 early Friday morning that left both vehicles partly submerged in an irrigation ditch.
Firefighters had to remove the roof of the car to get to the driver. However, he was declared dead at the scene. The drive of the truck was uninjured.
