BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — One person is in the hospital following a car and motorcycle crash on Highway 58 earlier this afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol's traffic incident website, the crash happened around 4:30 p.m. on Highway 58 just west of Keene.

Officials said that one person was found laying in the road and was later transported to a local hospital with major injuries. As of now there is no information on the person's identity.
