A vehicle versus pedestrian near Ashe Road and North Half Moon Drive killed one Thursday evening.

The accident happened around 7 p.m. A Ford Mustang traveling northbound on Ashe Road hit a 20-year-old male pedestrian who was not in a crosswalk, according to BPD.

While the pedestrian was in the road they were hit a second time by another vehicle, a Chevy pickup. Both drivers stopped to help.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital and later died.

Roads in the area will be closed for Thursday night.

Everyone involved was an adult. Alcohol, drugs, and speed appear not to be factors, according to officials.
