BUTTONWILLOW, Calif. — A woman who died after a car crash on Highway 43 near the I-5 has been identified as 57-year-old Adela Aguilar Garcia of Salinas.
Garcia was the passenger of a vehicle that was struck by an SUV on Jan. 2. She was transported to Kern Medical where she died days later as a result of her injuries.
The accident caused traffic to temporarily shut down in both directions.
A helicopter was dispatched requiring CHP to shut down the 43 north and south of Panama Lane.
