BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Local students will have the opportunity to job shadow employees with Aera Energy.

Twenty students and staff from Independence High School will be able to learn more about job opportunities in the oil and gas industry. They’ll get a glimpse into a “day in the life” of various employees at Aera. Several Aera employees will be present and conduct a tour in Aera’s Academy to show the importance of a diversified workforce to deliver the business.

Presenters will be representing the following career fields: Human resources, health and safety, production engineering, facilities engineering, geology, finance and information technology.

The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Aera Energy LLC on Ming Avenue.
