Bakersfield College and the Citrus Pest and Disease Prevention Program are hosting a meeting for students and the public Wednesday morning about the Asian citrus psyllid, a dangerous citrus tree pest.

Meeting attendees will learn how to inspect their citrus trees for the pest. The psyllid can spread Huanglongbing (HLB), a deadly plant disease.

The meeting will be held at 10 a.m. on October 12 at Bakersfield College Farm. The farm is located at the corner of Panorama Drive and Haley Street.
