Airport Valet Express offers free rides between Bakersfield and LAX to furloughed federal employees

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Airport Valet Express is offering free rides between Bakersfield and the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to employees who have been furloughed during the government shutdown.

Furloughed federal employees can ride round trip for free from the Airport Valet Express customer center in Bakersfield to their terminal at LAX. The offer lasts as long as the government shutdown continues.

Furloughed federal employees must make a reservation to receive the free rides. Reservations can be made online or calling 661-363-5000.

The Airport Valet Express customer center is located at 201 New Stine Road, Suite 120 in Southwest Bakersfield. The shuttle runs four times each way Monday through Friday and twice a week on weekends.
