BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Saturday hundreds of cars, trucks and bikes of all different makes and models cruised down to the Bakersfield RV Park to help support the Ronald McDonald House.
The Ronald McDonald House is a charity that offers temporary housing to families that are going through a challenging time, including when a family has to hospitalize a child. The house provides hot meals, showers and a warm place to sleep and unwind for families or anyone who is in need. The house has also helped over 5,000 families in Kern County.
For the last eight years the car show has raised over $100,000 for families. Car show registration was $40 at the door and the event was free for everyone who attended.
Food and drinks were available and numerous raffles took place through out the day, several lucky winners went home with prizes and gift cards.
