Storms battering Kern County have been a boon for the Alta Sierra Ski Resort.
On Monday, Alta Sierra tweeted that the ski area was hit with 13 inches of "now snow and counting."
The tweet alos said it was the hardest the ski resort had been hit with snow in years.

The ski resort plans on being open this weekend thanks to the fresh powder.
