An Amber Alert was issued Thursday morning for a 2-year-old boy abducted in Soledad.

The abduction took place at 6:45 a.m. Thursday. The suspected abductor, who was not identified, was last seen driving a 2015 black Honda Accord with California license plate 7LIE244. It has tinted windows and damage to the left rear bumper.

The car was stolen from in front of Jason's father's home in the 100 block of Head Street. The father had gone back inside briefly, leaving the child in the car.

The alert is in effect for the counties of Monterey, Santa Cruz, San Benito, San Luis Obispo and Santa Clara.

The boy has asthma and has to take medication by 4 p.m. Thursday, the CHP said.
