American Idol will return to airwaves on March 11, this time on The ABC Television Network.
Ryan Seacrest announced the news on Monday on "Live with Kelly and Ryan."
The Idol Bus traveled from Portland, Oregon to Orlando, Florida in search of talented singers starting this past August and covering 23 cities nationwide.
This season American Idol hopefuls had the opportunity to audition using different platforms, like select social media platforms using the hashtag #TheNextIdol which received over 300,000 posts. Singers also had the chance to submit videos online and audition through livestream.
This season's judges will be Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. Emmy award-winning host Ryan Seacrest will return as the host of the series.
Each took to social media to share the announcement.
