RIDGECREST, Calif. — The American Red Cross says it has opened a shelter at the Kerr McGee Community Center at 100 W California Avenue in Ridgecrest in response to Thursday's earthquake.
Volunteers are currently providing comfort and care to several of those who have been impacted, according to a news release.
The safe shelter will reportedly provide warm meals and emotional support.
In addition, the Red Cross volunteers teams will be on standby Thursday night should there be any home fires throughout the area.
