If you need to travel for the holidays you're probably wondering how to do it safely.
Friday morning, 23ABC spoke to David Lipari from the San Joaquin Joint Power Authority.
He discussed what's being done to keep holiday travelers safe especially those planning to travel by train on Amtrak.
He shared what days to avoid getting on Amtrak if you want to avoid large crowds.
"So, if you are concerned about social distancing and really want to maximize your distance from others, our busiest days are always the Wednesdays before Thanksgiving and the Sundays after. So, if you avoid those days, you have the best chance of not having a lot of people around you."
And as with many other modes of travel, always call ahead to check on any travel restrictions in place at your destination, wear a face mask and leave early.
