The National Jet Boat Association held the annual Lake Ming drag boat race Saturday and Sunday at Lake Ming.
 

Racers from all across the state traveled to Lake Ming just to participate in the two day racing event.
 
The race was comprised of drivers showcasing all different classes of boats that they raced in the friendly competition on the water, to help bring an action packed event to Kern County families everywhere.
 
Saturday veterans received free admission into the race in honor of Armed Forces Day. Sunday adult tickets were $10 and kids 12 and under got in for free, parking was also free.
 
The event will also take place again next year.
