TEHACHAPI, Calif. — Kern County is going to the dogs this weekend as an annual event returns to Tehachapi. The Gone to the Dogs event is a 5K walk and run and pet festival.
The walk and run are not timed and are designed for dogs to take their humans down the path. Runners without dog escorts will be welcomed as well.
The pet fest will include a petting zoo, animal adoptions, doxie races, and a memorial butterfly release.
It's happening Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon at Meadowbrook Park in Tehachapi.
