It's a tradition in Kern County, the Basque Crawl. Where families and friends head out to local Basque restaurants for a pre-thanksgiving dinner with their loved ones. For over fifty years, the night before thanksgiving is one of the busiest nights for Basque restaurants in East Bakersfield.
"A lot of families come into town because they are prepping for tomorrow so they come to Wool Growers for a dinner and we do get a college crowd that comes or old professionals that want to meet up with old friends around old Kern," said Wool Growers owner Christiane Camou.
