The Bakersfield Homeless Center's 10th annual Turkey Trot Walk & Run benefiting the homeless population in the area is scheduled for Saturday.

Clubs, organizations, businesses, families and individual participants can register for the event.

Proceeds will go toward providing the Bakersfield Homeless Center with resources, which include giving away Thanksgiving meals on Sunday Nov. 19 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at their location on East Truxton Avenue.

The Turkey Trot Walk & Run event will start at 8 a.m. at Yokuts Park.
