METTLER, Calif. — An Arizona man was killed in a crash on I-5 in Mettler Monday.

According to the Kern County Coroner, around 7:02 a.m. on Monday, April 29, 49-year-old Cesar Gaspar Salas Aranda of San Luis, Arizona was driving a vehicle on I-5 just south of SR-166 when he was hit by another vehicle. Aranda was tranposrted to Kern Medical, where he later died.

A postmortem examination will be conducted to confirm cause and manner of death.
