On Sunday, July 29, at about 9:53 p.m a M&L Market in Delano was robbed by two masked suspects at gunpoint according to Delano Police. Police said that the suspects took cash as well as a bottle of liquor before fleeing in a red truck.

Officers said that several minutes after the robbery, they located a red truck at Cecil Avenue and Melcher Road that had been set on fire.

On the same day nearly an hour later, two people were at Veneto Park when they were approached by two suspects, police said.

According to DPD, one suspect allegedly pointed a firearm at one of the men and told him to give him his money, keys and phone. The victim did not initially comply so the suspect fired one round at the victim from several feet away, missing him. The victim then gave the suspect his keys and phone. Both suspects entered the victim’s truck and left the area northbound.

Officers later located the vehicle in Richgrove, California but fled from police. Officers were not able to initiate a traffic enforcement stop as they lost visual of the truck, police said in a Facebook post.

The three suspects were later located after crashing near County Line Road and Famoso Highway. The suspects had major injuries and a revolver was also located at the scene, according to officers.
