ARVIN, Calif. — Arvin High School's Color Guard team finished in first place at the WGI Western Championships in Las Vegas.

The team was already ranked number one in the state of California and number four in the United States before the regional competition. They will now be moving on to the WGI World Championships as number one in the world in their division. At the WGI Championships they will compete to secure a title as world champions.

The team is currently working to raise enough money to travel to the World Championships on April 10-13, 2019 in Dayton, Ohio to compete for the gold.
