Arvin convenience store closed by health department

An Arvin convenience store has been closed by Kern County Public Health for health code violations after an inspection score of 74%.

Barn IV was closed for holding food at improper temperatures, having a leaking hand wash sink, and having an employee that lacked a food handlers card, among other violations. Inspectors also observed a hole in the ceiling close to the walk-in refrigerator. 

The Barn IV is located on Comanche Drive in Arvin.
