An Arvin High School student was arrested Wednesday in connection to setting off fireworks on campus Tuesday.
Arvin High School officials said that a student let off the fireworks during lunch time.
Tuesday 23ABC News received a phone call from a viewer who said that their child at the school heard what they described as gunshots at about 12:30 p.m. and ran into a nearby room, but this information was later confirmed to be fireworks.
Kern County Sheriff's Office told 23ABC that Arvin police were at the school.
KHSD officials have not confirmed if a male or female student is responsible for setting off fireworks, nor any details on the charges him or her is facing at this time.
