Assemblymember Rudy Salas is hosting a "Stuff the Bus" event Saturday in Shafter. 

The school supply drive will collect backpacks, pencils, notebooks and other items to support students in local schools. 

All donations will be given to deserving kids from Richland School District. 

Assemblymember Salas, Shafter City Councilmember Gilbert Alvarado, and Classic Dreams Car Club's Eddie Saldana will be in attendance. 

The "Stuff the Bus" event is being held at in the Dollar General parking lot at 337 E. Lerdo Highway in Shafter. 

Donations will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
